Through an ancestral rhythm that reproduces the helical spirals of DNA, we enter the in “flow”, where the world and time stop. It is as if you are out of the body and you are observing the movements in an original state of consciousness, of an unperturbed mind. The effectiveness of this practice will accompany you in every act of life to face obstacles in total freedom. This increases inner strength and self-esteem.

• Emotions in Motion: Body and Mind

When we unroll our mat, ready to practice, the phrase “enter the flow” comes to mind.

But what is the FLOW? In the academic world they call it concentration. Musicians can call it being in the groove. Athletes refer to the inner play of either being in the area or on the ball. In the world of psychology this total immersion in an activity or being lost in the moment is called flow. It is a particular mental condition, in which time seems to stop and the concentration is such that the perception of what is happening around us is almost lost or this perception is altered. Flow can be defined as the state of being fully involved in the execution of a task, excluding everything else. Speaking the language of yoga this means that we are able to fully embody the Patanjali 1.2 sutra “yoga chitta vrtti nirodha.” In particular, in this state, we decide to pull the plug on our ability to judge by finally making ourselves free to create and to experiment. The mental fluctuations cancel each other out, the body, mind and spirit are one, in the present moment so compelling that everything else disappears. Time slows down, the ego dissolves and fear disappears. The state of flow is a meditation.

This is the state we hope to achieve during our asana practice.

We will decline this flow zone with moving emotions.

Three sequences dedicated to specific themes to recognize and manage emotions or somatic blocks that crystallize in the body and that prevent us from feeling free.

SEQUENCE 1.

Anxiety, stress and relation with the vagus nerve. A prolonged stressful condition or the accumulation of strong tension can impair the proper functioning of the vagus nerve. To bring him back to a condition of equilibrium, a deep relaxation process must be activated. Yoga can contribute to this, as it works on a holistic level and therefore also acts on the nervous system, stimulating the flow of energy and promoting a feeling of relaxation.

SEQUENCE 2.

NERVE FLOSSING of the lumbar area: with kindness you can melt fear, guilt and anger.

The relationship between emotions and the spine is evident. Some experts do not hesitate to indicate the spine as the support not only of the weights we bear on a physical level, but also of those that concern the emotional level. The back is like the pillar of our existence and we are not talking about spiritual or transcendental terms. it is enough to recall its structural function to our mind: to protect and enclose our nervous system.

SEQUENCE 3.

Diaphragm, chest, heart: how to open up to courage and compassion.

The key role of the heart as the center of the spiritual influx, capable of generating an electromagnetic field so large as to bring the psyche-somatic system into coherence. Yoga has always considered the heart the seat of the soul, a source of courage and wisdom. Compassion is the ability to feel one’s own suffering and the suffering of the other without being overwhelmed. It is the inner strength that helps us to see things in a perspective of interdependence and interrelation by allowing us to see beyond the limited space of our ego.

Please Contact us for the information: info@odakayoga.com

Module 500 RYT PLUS | Residential MODULE and RETREAT FORMULA in Italy – Tuscany ENTER THE FLOW.
