Buchwald<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It is true, for many also this 2021 has not been an easy year and at times you can feel that you are<br \/>\nunable to see an end or a prosperous and peaceful future, but as Albert Einstein also said &#8220;In the<br \/>\nmidst of difficulties, opportunities arise \u201dand it&#8217;s time to make a difference to live happily and in<br \/>\nharmony.<\/p>\n<p>I think that nothing happens by chance, new balances are re-established, everything finds its<br \/>\nmeaning and I believe that in the end good always wins; so make sure it is the same for you.<br \/>\n<strong>Whatever the moment you are experiencing will pass and it will be less tiring for you to<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>overcome it, or more beautiful and exciting to live, if you keep your energy vital with positive <\/strong><strong>thoughts and new habits that allow you to improve your mental and physical health and cheer <\/strong><strong>your heart in the Here and Now.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Positive psychology holds that life is happier if positive emotions prevail. Some studies show that<br \/>\nhappy people have more positive moods than less happy people. Stop fighting against yourself or<br \/>\nyour neighbor, do not waste your energy outside in negative thoughts and circumstances or you will<br \/>\nsoon find yourself in fear in a dark tunnel without your inner light to illuminate the way.<\/p>\n<p><strong>But how to be happy and positive, to love with an open heart, in difficult times?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; In his book \u201c<em>If the world collapses on you. Advice from the heart for difficult times<\/em>\u201d, the Buddhist<br \/>\nteacher Pema Chodron tells the story of a young Westerner who, in the 1960s, went to India. He had<br \/>\na desperate desire to eliminate his negative emotions and, especially fear, that it was in order for<br \/>\nhim to progress. The teacher he met kept repeating to stop fight but the young man did not accept<br \/>\nbasic advice to get rid of his fears. The master sent him to a refuge at the foot of the hills to<br \/>\nmeditate. Late one night, while he was meditating, he heard a noise and turned around: in a corner<br \/>\nhe saw a huge snake swinging its head raised. The young man was terrified: he sat facing the snake,<br \/>\nunable to move or to fall asleep. He couldn&#8217;t use any meditation techniques to avoid what he was<br \/>\nfeeling: he could only sit with his breath and his fear, facing the snake in the corner. Near morning,<br \/>\nthe last candle went out and the young man felt a sense of tenderness and compassion for all the<br \/>\nanimals and people in the world: he was able to feel their suffering and desires. He understood<br \/>\nmany things. In the dark he started crying from all the positive and negative emotions he was<br \/>\nfeeling, then with deep gratitude he got up off the ground, walked over to the snake and bowed,<br \/>\nfinally fell asleep blissfully on the floor. When he awoke, the snake was gone, as was his desperate<br \/>\nneed to fight fear. &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>The truth is that each of us experiences a certain amount of fear or anxiety during our existence,<br \/>\nespecially when our physical life seems in danger or when we are faced with uncertainties. The<br \/>\nsecret is to recognize fear and prevent it from taking over our thoughts and actions. Basically you<br \/>\nare afraid because you feel alone and isolated, surrounded by forces beyond your control. Fear often<br \/>\narises from our mental images with which we try to anticipate the future by thinking of something<br \/>\nthat we are not able to face in order to delude ourselves that we are prepared. All of this will lead<br \/>\nyou to feel more and more tired, unmotivated, frustrated or scared.
