Karma is that cause and effect process from which we can and must learn a lot. When you ask yourself “why does it all happen to me?” try to change your point of view and rephrase the question “what do I have to learn in this situation?”. Don’t think that things all happen “to you”, think that things happen “to you”. If you notice, the wisest and most
awakened souls in history are those who have passed through the darkness without losing their
light. As Elisabeth Kübler-Ross says “The most beautiful people I have met are those who have
known defeat, suffering, struggle, loss, and have found their way out of the depths.” These people
have an appreciation, a sensitivity and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion,
humility and deep loving concern, beautiful people do not come out of nothing” they have been
forged by karma.
Take some time to examine your thoughts and actions. What pushes you towards one choice rather
than another? Are your steps in life always guided by unconditional love or by fears,
preconceptions, conscious or unconscious patterns, expectations and interests?
Becoming aware of your thoughts and the impact your actions have in your life and in the
world helps you to get back in harmony with your Dharma (read the article do you know your Dharma? Link ….) and to feel free from Karma.

In the third chapter of the Bhagavad Gita karma yoga is described with these words:
“The man who has realized his spiritual identity has no personal interest in fulfilling the prescribed
duties nor does he have any reason not to fulfill these duties. He does not depend on anyone for
anything. One must therefore carry out one’s work and one’s actions out of duty, without attachment
to the fruits of the action, because by acting without attachment one reaches the Supreme.
(Bhagavad Gita, III, 18-19).

In Odaka Yoga every sequence and every gesture is created to acquire greater awareness not only
of one’s body, but also of all those emotions, thoughts and behaviors that make us what we are. The
transitions and deep attention that the practice can achieve help us to free ourselves from
expectations to rediscover the beauty and power of each moment. The Ego thus leaves room for the
soul to breathe and shine.

“As long as a man does not kill, do not annihilate the ego, there will be Karma;
since the ego is the cause of Karma, but if that ego is destroyed,
the one who says: “I was, I am, I will be”, then the wheel
of life and death, with the rays of him that are anxiety, pain,
pain and fleeting joys, it stops, and you become the master,
he who has touched liberation, who has touched the Kingdom of happiness. ” – Krishnamurti’s
Wheel of Karma

Your very affectionate
Vivian Mil.
– Odaka Yoga Teacher RYT 500
Instagram: @ararisko_harmony_yoga_

Read also
How to find the way to happiness in difficult times
– The power to be yourself

What Makes You Unhappy?
– 3 ways to overcome suffering

Live without fear
Do you feel free or are you free?

– How to release the body and mind from the chains and train to be free.

What are saying your Karma?
