Zen Warrior® | Warriors of kindness
Created by Roberto Milletti
Zen Warrior®️ brings together Zen, the Way of the Warrior and Yoga into a single essential practice of strength, centering and presence. Simple and powerful, it arises from movement as a path of transformation and becomes a practical tool for everyday life.
Movement follows a fluid and engaging rhythm that strengthens the body and frees the mind. Each gesture becomes more stable and centered, the mind clearer and more lucid. The practice unfolds entirely standing, through fluid sequences that adapt to every body, every age and every level of experience. Beginner or experienced, everyone can find their own rhythm and discover their potential.
Zen Warrior®️ does not train only the body: it helps regulate the nervous system and teaches how to remain present even in moments of greater intensity. It is the art of overcoming obstacles without collision, transforming conflict into clarity and acting with calm even in chaos.
Its strength extends beyond the practice and becomes a concrete way of facing life with a lucid mind and quiet strength.
More and more people are discovering this discipline for its ability to unite power and fluidity, intensity and centering.
It is not just movement.
It is a concrete path of personal transformation.
Zen Warrior® adds nothing.
It removes what is unnecessary.
When only the essential remains,
the Warrior is already there.

EXPERIENCE
The initial phase of the Zen Warrior path is a fascinating journey that introduces practitioners to the foundations of Zen, Odaka Yoga, and Martial Arts. This step represents a unique opportunity to build the groundwork for a transformative path, where the meeting of body and mind becomes a source of personal growth and awareness.
Particular focus is given to understanding the principles of the Zen Warrior and applying them in daily life. Practitioners are guided to integrate what they learn in the Dojo into their routines, discovering how the practice can positively influence every aspect of their existence.
This practical and reflective approach allows for the development of greater resilience and inner calm—essential tools for facing life’s challenges with grace and determination.
Hours can be accumulated through a variety of experiences: practical workshops, intensive retreats, in-person classes, and online lessons.
During this phase, practitioners acquire fundamental skills on both a physical and mental level. They begin to face the first challenges related to body and mind control, learning to manage tension and develop greater fluidity in movement. Inner discipline becomes a central theme, alongside the exploration of techniques to refine focus and presence.
REFINE
In this phase, the practitioner deepens their understanding of the Zen Warrior structure, learning how to build a class through its three core spheres:
- Zen Sphere | centering, presence, and inner space
- Yoga Sphere | balance, stability, and body awareness
- Warrior Sphere | centered strength, power, and mastery in action
Through technical study and applied practice, the practitioner develops the ability to naturally connect these three spheres, recognizing their different rhythms and learning to integrate them into a continuous, organic flow.
By the end of the REFINE module, the practitioner will be able to design and lead a Zen Warrior class, maintaining unity, balance, and coherence across the three dimensions of the practice. They will also have acquired the necessary tools to begin their teaching journey within the Zen Warrior method.
DEEPEN
In this phase, the practitioner further explores the martial dimension of the Zen Warrior method, with the goal of developing mastery in Warrior sequences and understanding how to apply them in class design.
The path includes the study and execution of dynamic martial sequences, both empty-handed and with the sword.
By the end of the DEEPEN module, the practitioner will be able to perform and lead complete Warrior sequences, integrating body, mind, and spirit into a single, conscious flow. They will also have gained the tools needed to apply the principles of the method both in practice and in everyday life.
MASTERING | The Path to the Mastery
The MASTERING phase represents the culmination of the Zen Warrior path: a journey dedicated to achieving technical mastery, where martial practice evolves into an art of presence, control, and self-mastery.
In this phase, the practitioner refines martial techniques—both empty-handed and with the sword—developing centered strength, precision, and fluidity. Every gesture arises from a clear intention; every movement becomes conscious; every combination expresses balance, technical mastery, and deep listening.
Power is no longer uncontrolled physical force, but directed and mastered energy, expressed with elegance, centering, and naturalness.
Mastering is an ongoing process of refinement, in which practice transcends mere execution to become a powerful tool for personal transformation. Through discipline, consistency, and deep awareness, the Warrior learns to maintain stability, clarity, and presence even in the most complex situations, transforming practice into a concrete path—an instrument of awareness and balance in daily life.
Mastery is not a goal to be reached, but a state to be embodied.
Awards and certifications| 130 hours
The Zen Warrior path is a journey of transformation that combines physical and spiritual disciplines through a series of steps: Experience, Refine, Deepen, and Mastering.
Although the order of the steps offers a harmonious progression, the path to achieving the 130 hours does not require following a rigid sequence: each practitioner can move freely between the phases, adapting them to their own needs and personal goals. Upon reaching 100 hours, the practitioner can choose a totem animal that best represents them, symbolizing their spiritual and warrior essence within the Zen Warrior path. This totem animal will be translated into Japanese, thus marking the beginning of their identity in the community. Furthermore, upon reaching 100 hours, the practitioner will be awarded a diploma and technical certification recognized by CSEN (National Educational Sports Center), certifying their qualification as a Zen Warrior teacher. Upon completing the 130 hours of Zen Warrior, the practitioner will receive the second recognition with the enrichment of their totem name: a Japanese adjective will be added to the one obtained in the first phase, symbolizing a unique quality that emerged along the path. This renewed name represents the fusion of technique and attitude, embodying the essence of the practitioner.
The training course is led by Roberto Milletti.
