Francesca Cassia
International Yoga Master and Co-founder of Odaka Yoga
Francesca Cassia, co-founder of Odaka Yoga, is one of the leading international teachers of contemporary yoga and conscious movement. A teacher trainer and researcher, she has developed an integrated approach that combines anatomy, biomechanics, fascia, neuroscience applied to movement, and nervous system regulation into a fluid, intelligent, and deeply transformative practice.
Recognized as a Master Yoga Platinum by Yoga Alliance International Australia, Francesca has dedicated over twenty years of research to understanding the body as a living, dynamic, and interconnected system.
A central element of her work is Fascia Flow, an approach that views fascia as a continuous network connecting the entire body and organizing movement. Within this vision, the body is no longer seen as segmented, but perceived as one intelligent field where elasticity, strength, and adaptability naturally emerge.
Fascia Flow integrates a profound focus on the nervous system and the vagus nerve, creating practices that support inner safety, stress regulation, and a greater capacity for adaptation. Movement thus becomes a tool to rebalance tone, breath, and perception, supporting a state of presence that is both stable and soft at the same time.
This approach helps to:
• Improve the overall quality of movement
• Release tension and compensatory patterns
• Develop elasticity and fascial continuity
• Support nervous system regulation
• Encourage vagal nerve function and the body’s safety response
• Integrate breath, posture, and body awareness
• Create a more organic, non-forceful practice
Her teaching also integrates elements of a trauma-informed approach, with deep attention to progression, listening, and the creation of a safe space in which the body can reorganize itself without pressure.
Among her main areas of focus:
• Functional anatomy and applied biomechanics
• Fascia Flow and continuous movement
• Nervous system regulation and stress management
• Vagus nerve work and states of safety
• Psoas and myofascial chains
• Mobility, stability, and dynamic fluidity
• Trauma-informed approach
• International teacher training
• Integration of contemporary yoga and somatic movement
Francesca has taught throughout Europe, the United States, Australia, Japan, and Asia, including in institutional settings such as the United Nations Headquarters in New York City.
Together with Roberto Milletti, she contributed to the development of the internationally recognized Odaka Yoga Teacher Training programs.
She also collaborates with professionals in the medical and maternal-childcare fields on programs dedicated to pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum support through conscious movement, breathwork, and body awareness practices.
In her teaching, the body is never forced: it is listened to, organized, and transformed.
And within Fascia Flow, movement becomes a living continuity between body, breath, and the nervous system.
