The Odaka Vibe: vibrating the body from the tailbone.

Would you ever think that this marvelous, little, bone at the base of your spine does so much? Well, it does – especially in Odaka Yoga. It is fundamental in Odaka Yoga’s signature move called the “Odaka Vibe”.

The benefits of this small yet powerful movement are impressive. The vibration begins from the tailbone while we focus our minds to the center of our bodies where this pulse is resonating. It slowing moves up the entire spine while we continue to breathe and empty our minds. This movement is ideal in releasing tensions, freeing blocked emotions and dissolving stress on both a physical and mental level. It has the ability to calm the nervous system and allow it to regenerate, increasing our life force. It helps our hematic, linfatic and cerebrospinal fluid as it oxygenates our cells and helps stop back pain.

When I first started Odaka Yoga, I thought this movement was a bit odd. But, I immediately fell in love with this movement for the simple fact that I felt an instant release (and still do) when practicing it. The Odaka Vibe truly allows you to eliminate the tension that has accumulated in your body and make space for your energy to flow. This movement symbolizes completely the Odaka Yoga mantra: “Liquify your limits and flow with me”.
